I am pissed off at jdownloader and facemoods

I Hate Both JDownloader and Facemoods

Today, I’ve installed my ex-favorite free downloader program called “JDownloader” (yet another slow java application) to my CLEAN, WELL-CONFIGURED, NEWLY-FORMATTED PC.

And what happened next?

With this facemoods adware which comes with jdownloader installer, it totally screw my browsers. (I mean it shit on my all 3 clean browsers: firefox, chrome and ie)

What did this annoying jdownloader installer do on my computer?

  • It changed the homepage and startup urls to facemoods.com of my 3 favorite web browsers.
  • It changed all the default search engines to facemoods search in firefox, chrome, and internet explorer.
  • It changed the url keyword search to facemoods search again.
  • It installed the disgusting facemoods toolbar
  • It messed with my registry keys and values of my pc.

AND I LOST MY OWN BROWSER SETTINGS AND I HAD TO RESET MY BROWSERS TO THEIR DEFAULTS.

SO WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW?

I AM REMOVING JDOWNLOADER FROM MY COMPUTER AND I DON’T WANT TO SEE ITS FACE AGAIN!!!

It may be free but I am done with this shit jdownloader…

The same happend to me as well. Cleanly formated notebook with Windows 7 and then this damn Facemoods crap. I thought JDownloader would be quality software. WTF! Even open source software is not safe from this nonsense. How annoying…

Avoid JDOWNLOADER, it just stinks, it uses open source to disguise its just another spam installing software. JDOWNLOADER, you screwed up my brand new notebook with Win 7.
    NEVER EVER USE JDOWNLOADER!!!

Oh shut up everybody. There is a very self-explanatory page during the installation that asks HOW DO YOU WANT TO INSTALL FACEMOODS -Custom -Full -Do not Install.

JDownloader in itself is high quality stuff.

Jdownloader is horrible. The UI is full of spelling errors and is difficult to use. Jdownloader also requires constant attention every time it fails (often).
Anyone got suggestions for an alternative?

I am using a firefox plug-in named “DownThemAll” for my multiple concurrent downloads and I am also using another firefox plug-in named “DownloadHelper” in order to download videos from tube sites such as youtube, dailymotion, facebook, etc…
